Misson

Rust & Root Furniture was started in 2016 by Danny Ovryn. Rust & Root has grown from the initial studio nestled by the Koolau mountains in Waimanalo to a large shop in the Campbell Industrial area of Kapolei. The mission of Rust & Root is to provide the highest possible quality furniture to Hawaii’s interior design community. Rust & Root is primarily a to-the-trade workroom, preferring to work directly with interior designers and architects.

Danny and the craftsmen (because we are all men so far) at Rust & Root build furniture because they love the process. Interesting and challenging projects are always encouraged; one of the prime joys of a furniture craftsman is to push their abilities to new levels.
